Exploration Technician at Agnico Eagle

Join Agnico Eagle's Exploration Department as a Technician, collaborating directly with geologists at the renowned Hope Bay Project. This hands-on role involves drill core sampling, preparation, and field inspections in a dynamic environment.

The Exploration Technician will report to the Exploration Coordinator, ensuring that all geologic support functions are executed efficiently. Essential tasks include preparing drill cores, conducting QAQC protocols, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the core shack. Your contributions are vital to achieving our goals while upholding Agnico Eagle’s values and Health & Safety Code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support geologists with drill core preparation and sampling

• Participate in health & safety meetings on-site

• Conduct drill site inspections and downhole surveys

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the core shack

• Assist in ice construction and environmental inspections

Requirements:

• College diploma in mining technology or related field

• Minimum three years in exploration or core shack role

• Physically capable of handling 50+ pounds

• Familiarity with survey tools like total station and GPS

• Basic vehicle operation skills, e.g., Snowcat or Skid Steer
