Become a key player at GFL's Acheson Fleet Maintenance as a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician. Focus on maintaining Hydrovac trucks, water trucks, and highway vehicles for optimal reliability.

Your role encompasses extensive repair and maintenance responsibilities, requiring not only strong troubleshooting skills but also the ability to perform detailed diagnostics on various equipment. You will follow GFL's rigorous safety protocols, ensure all repaired systems function correctly, and maintain clear documentation of your work. Your own hand tools and toolbox are necessary, complemented by a substantial tool allowance after the initial three months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles

• Complete repairs on hydraulic and mechanical systems

• Ensure testing for optimal performance post-repair

• Document all repairs with clear, legible records

• Collaborate with the Shop Foreman and parts team

Requirements:

• Familiarity with CVIP Motor Vehicle Inspection

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean record

• Willingness to work overtime as necessary

• Preferred experience with major equipment brands
