Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

Woodbridge Pallet is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support our day-to-day maintenance and repair operations on our afternoon shift. This role is a great entry point for someone looking to build a career as a Maintenance Mechanic or working toward a skilled trade in maintenance.

This role is for a current vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance and repairs of equipment, tools, and machinery
• Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
• Perform basic repairs (carpentry, minor mechanical work, general upkeep)
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
• Assist with equipment inspections and report issues to the Maintenance Team Lead
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous maintenance, labour, or warehouse experience preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality and willingness to learn and take direction are essential
• Forklift license an asset
