For over 55 years, York Sheet Metal and York Chutes Ltd. have been leaders in HVAC and garbage chute manufacturing in Canada. The family‑owned business has served thousands of clients throughout the Downtown Core and the Greater Toronto Area as well as on a Provincial and international level.
York Sheet Metal specializes in design, manufacturing and installation of a vast range of products; including garbage and linen chutes, ventilation systems, compactors, Tri & Bi Sorter Systems, recycling and garbage bins and more.
We are currently looking for a Welder to join the team based out of Woodbridge Ontario. The Welder will operate welding equipment to weld ferrous and non‑ferrous metals to meet client and project requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various processes
Operate brazing and soldering equipment
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Welder required.
Must be well organized and punctual.
Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
