Maintenance Mechanic Level 1

Elevate your mechanical skills as a Level 1 Maintenance Mechanic for a leading food manufacturing company in Vaughan. This position focuses on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements to ensure operational success.

This role provides essential support to the production team involved in processing and packaging. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing both corrective and preventative maintenance on various plant equipment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and familiarity with health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify, maintain, and troubleshoot processing and packaging machinery

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings for effective work procedures

• Provide recommendations for continuous improvements and efficiencies

• Fill out shift reports electronically for specific issues

• Maintain an organized shop environment and toolbox

Requirements:

• Millwright License or equivalent experience required

• 5-7 years in mechanical and electrical maintenance

• Experience in high-speed food manufacturing preferred

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

• Valid driver’s license required
