Role Summary

As Team Leader Service, you will lead the Field Service Engineering team (24 employees) and ensure that IAI systems at customer sites operate smoothly. Your responsibilities include employee development, maintenance planning, customer engagement and continuous improvement of service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Field Service Engineering team and manage employee development, including external and internal training.
  • Ensure proper team composition and monitor work quality and quantity of Field Service Engineers.
  • Create maintenance planning alongside the Service Coordinator to fulfill contractual agreements.
  • Promote a customer‑oriented attitude and ambassadorial function of the Field Service Engineers.
  • Initiate improvement processes and take measurements to solve problems related to quality, response time and maintenance methods.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed according to defined standards and working methods.
Primary Duties

Communication

  • Review financial performance and investment plans with the Director of Operations.
  • Discuss long‑term planning, overall business operations, and cross‑functional collaboration with the Director of Operations.
  • Communicate and coordinate daily operational activities with departmental team members.
  • Prepare and present monthly operational and financial reports.
  • Discuss proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and support the closure of contracts with prospective and existing international customers (English‑speaking) within delegated authority limits.

Responsibility

  • Establish and manage the service department budget.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of personnel and resources.
  • Develop and maintain effective weekly operational planning and scheduling.
  • Negotiate, manage, maintain, and amend agreements and contracts with international customers.
  • Continuously improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain competitive maintenance and service pricing strategies.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and foster continuous development of knowledge, skills, and competencies within the department.
Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience leading an international service organization.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Experience with international customers.
  • Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Valid passport or the ability to obtain one, as the role includes international travel and fieldwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical studies.
Work Requirements
  • Compliance with all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel, may be required. A valid passport is necessary.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country of hire.
