We are seeking caregivers who are confident with hands‑on care and comfortable working independently in a private home setting.

McKenney Home Care is a family‑owned private‑duty home care agency providing one‑on‑one care to clients in their homes. We are currently hiring experienced Caregivers, HHAs, and CNAs to support clients throughout Sarasota and Charlotte County through our Venice office.

• 12-hour shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Day shifts
• Overnight shifts
• Ongoing client assignments based on availability and experience

• Transfers and ambulation assistance
• Gait belt use
• Hoyer lift experience
• Bedbound care
• Dementia care, including clients who may be confused, agitated, or resistant to care
• Personal care and activities of daily living
  
  Higher‑acuity care needs

• Provide one‑on‑one care in the client’s home setting
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, meals, and companionship
• Follow the client care plan and safety instructions
• Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, or care needs
• Complete timely and accurate documentation

• Previous caregiving experience required
• HHA certificate, CNA license, or strong hands‑on caregiving experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required
• Current hands‑on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• TB test within the last 6 months or chest X-ray within the last 5 years
• Eligibility for Level 2 AHCA background screening
• Reliable, patient, professional, and able to communicate clearly
