Responsibilities- Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans. - Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide hands‑on therapy to improve patients’ daily living skills, mobility, and independence, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications. - Patient
Education:
Educate patients and families on strategies for managing and adapting to their conditions, maximizing their independence and quality of life. - Documentation:
Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely. - Collaboration:
Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes. - Professional Development:
Stay up‑to‑date with the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy practice.
- Licensure:
Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Florida. - Experience:
Minimum of 6 months experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab. - Skills:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. - Professionalism:
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality care. - Transportation:
Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
