Position: (USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

Position Summary...What you'll do...

Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory level accuracy, area cleanliness, assessing economic trends & community needs, overseeing stocking & rotation of merchandise, setting up, cleaning & organizing product displays, securing fragile & high‑shrink merchandise. Leads & develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores & providing feedback. Communicates & collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising & company direction.

Introduces & leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations & guidance, implements business solutions, communicates objectives. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way service model, manages customer service initiatives, community outreach programs, resolves complaints & issues, develops action plans, provides process improvement leadership. Supervises hourly associates, hires, trains, mentors, assigns duties, sets expectations, recognizes associates, ensures staffing meets business needs.

Controls merchandise loss, improves profitability by setting performance goals, builds policy accountability, measures adherence to loss prevention policies, reviews inventory variances, conducts reviews, audits, monitors trends, identifies improvement opportunities. Trains managers & associates on operational controls, investigates violations, conducts investigations, gathers evidence, writes reports, provides testimony, collaborates with investigative entities. Monitors safety & risk controls, oversees safety team, identifies accident trends, provides training, implements prevention plans, administers training on asset protection, safety, claims & receiving procedures.

Manages claims & receiving, ensures proper policies, processes claims for damaged, defective, returned, liquidated items & deliveries, maintains documentation, coordinates job-related activities. Supports company mission values, implements Open Door Policy, builds high‑performing teams, promotes inclusivity, attracts & retains talent, acts with integrity, serves customers & members, balances priorities, strives for excellence, adopts new technologies.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location
  • Complex Structure based on external factors creating challenges
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • Option 2: 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi‑department environment.
  • Option 3: 1 year’s experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi‑department environment.
  • Option 4: 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (minimum age, specialized training, certification and/or licensing).
  • If applicable, acquisition of a current, state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • If applicable, successful completion of a criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, & firing.
  • Investigative experience.
  • Bachelor's in Business or Criminal Justice.
