* Job Description:

*** Lead, schedule, and supervise the maintenance and repair of lift stations, STEP and low-pressure sewer systems, vacuum sewer systems, reclaimed water distribution systems, and wastewater collection infrastructure
* Coordinate daily and weekly work activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of maintenance operations
* Inspect maintenance and repair activities to verify quality, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
* Train, mentor, and develop staff on equipment operation, maintenance practices, safety procedures, and departmental processes
* Manage employee scheduling, resource allocation, and work assignments to maximize operational efficiency
* Procure parts, materials, and equipment necessary to support maintenance and repair activities
* Review and process work orders, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, bid specifications, and other operational documents
* Support the implementation and monitoring of preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to meet service level expectations
* Monitor vehicle and equipment usage, condition, and maintenance needs to ensure operational readiness
* Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with County standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations

* About You:

**** Minimum Qualifications**:
* A High School Diploma or its equivalent AND four (4) years of related experience performing maintenance and general operations work in a field related* **-OR
- ** Two (2) year Associate's degree with two (2) years of related work in a field related* **-OR
- ** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with one (1) year of related work in a field related* **-AND
- ** One (1) year of supervisory experience (lead worker or acting in a supervisory capacity may be counted)
* A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Experience in the maintenance operation and repair of the mechanical lift station, vacuum sewer, S.T.E.P., and low-pressure systems
* Class C, B, or A State of Florida Collection Certification
* Class A CDL
** Physical Demands:
** Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
** Subject to Passing Substance Screening:
** This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening.  An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years#
