Job SummaryThis position is part of a team of builders that focus on assembling wood truss components into roof and floor trusses according to engineered drawings. Truss Assembly 2 or Truss Assembly 3 represent different levels of experience and ability to build within each assembly team.
Responsibilities- Commit to customer service for both internal and external customers, both in attitude and approach.
- Maintain quality, productivity, and labeling of trusses produced according to assigned production schedules, completing assembly of needed trusses to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Assemble trusses according to shop drawings correctly, matching lumber and plate specs to design specifications.
- Work safely, adhering to company safety policies and procedures, wearing all required PPE.
- Ensure plates are sized, placed, and attached correctly prior to pressing.
- Keep the working area clean and inventory organized.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to read and interpret truss shop drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineered shop drawings.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to read a tape measure.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- All new hires must complete a pre‑employment background check and drug test.
