Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within the specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Required certifications upon completion of department orientation:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke PSA/ACE (during orientation) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention. Additionally, the following courses/certifications must be completed within one (1) year of orientation:
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC). All certifications must be maintained thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in nursing specialty area.
Minimum of one (1) year of emergency RN experience.

FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
