The Heart Institute of Venice is seeking an experienced and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Gastroenterology experience to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with gastrointestinal conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments for gastrointestinal disorders.
- Assist in diagnosing and managing conditions related to the digestive system, including GERD, IBS, liver disease, and other GI conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under physician supervision when required.
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care for GI procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Educate patients on digestive health, treatment plans, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a valid Florida license.
- Experience in Gastroenterology strongly preferred.
- Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative medical environment.
