Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking a Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join Venice OBGYN, a comprehensive practice with four physicians in a beautiful clinic space conveniently attached to Sarasota Memorial – Venice Hospital.

The primary function of the Nurse Practitioner's role is to provide evidence-based, compassionate and high-quality direct patient care with a focus on the care of women across the lifespan. The nurse practitioner should be comfortable working both independently as well as in collaboration with other members of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Obstetric and Gynecologic services in an outpatient setting.
• Clinic visits to include OB Visits (20+weeks), postpartum visits, GYN annual visits, and same day.
• Provide coverage for physicians in clinic when called for delivery.
• Round on postpartum patients in the hospital.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic testing and interpret results.
• Prescribe, administer, and dispense medications and other
• Coordinates treatment and makes appropriate referrals to other health providers as
• Manage patient call backs and communicating results.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited master's degree program
• Current board certification
• Active or eligibility for licensure by the State of Florida
• BLS
• DEA Certificate
• Experience preferred as an APRN in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Ability to work independently
