Overview

Lead store operations and associate development at Walmart, ensuring high-quality customer service, driving sales, and fostering a culture of inclusion and integrity.

• Guide and develop associates through training, coaching, and mentorship.
• Communicate operations, business initiatives, and company direction to all store levels.
• Model and enforce the One Best Way customer‑service standards.
• Resolve customer complaints, develop action plans, and lead process improvements.
• Analyze profit‑loss statements, manage budgeting, forecasting, and expense control to meet sales and profit goals.
• Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, and inventory flow.
• Hire, train, and supervise hourly associates; create recognition programs and a sense of belonging.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.
• Build partnerships with stakeholders, set clear goals, and track progress toward results.
• Promote a culture that respects diversity, embraces differences, and encourages continuous learning.

• 2 years of college coursework; or 1 year of retail experience combined with 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific background check and firearms‑authorized training.
• For ammunition facilities: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility, if required.
• Must complete all required job‑training programs and assessments.

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U or Bellevue University).
• Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (Live Better U or Bellevue University).
• Experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibilities for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
