Position Details

- Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (plus overtime)
- Night Shift ($3/hr shift differential): Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm with medical emergency on-call after 10pm (plus overtime)
- Weekend Day Shift ($100 spiff per Saturday/Sunday shift): Saturday and Sunday + 3 days during the week OR Saturday or Sunday + 4 days during the week, 8am-5pm (plus overtime)
- Weekend Night Shift ($100 spiff per Saturday/Sunday shift): Saturday and Sunday + 3 nights during the week OR Saturday or Sunday + 4 nights during the week, 2pm-10pm with medical emergency on-call after 10pm (plus overtime)
As an Experienced HVAC Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing complex issues and performing advanced repairs. Your extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience will be essential in delivering high‑quality service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for performing HVAC service and maintenance
- Responsible for excellent communication and customer service
- Responsible for building estimates and presenting to the homeowner
- Responsible for maintaining detailed records of service visits, including diagnoses, repairs and maintenance
- Responsible for adhering to all safety protocols and company policies
- Plays a crucial role in preventing workplace injuries by following safety guidelines, using equipment correctly, and reporting unsafe conditions or actions to management immediately
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service. Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems preferred.
- EPA Section 608 certification (for refrigerant handling) required. Additional certifications such as NATE are a plus.
- Hands‑On
Experience:
Extensive knowledge of maintaining and repairing residential or commercial HVAC systems. - Knowledge of HVAC Systems:
Proficient with both the electrical and mechanical components of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. - Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Ability to identify and repair HVAC system issues using diagnostic tools and methods. - Refrigeration:
Experience working with refrigerants and knowledge of proper handling, charging, and leak detection. - Wiring & Electrical Systems:
Skilled in reading wiring diagrams and handling electrical components of HVAC systems. - Leadership
Experience:
In some cases, experience managing a team or mentoring/coaching technicians could be a plus. - Up‑to‑Date Knowledge:
Keeping current with new technologies in HVAC systems, energy‑efficient solutions, or new refrigerants (such as R454B or R‑32). Must be goal oriented. - Ability to build a positive working relationship with our customers and coworkers.
- Must have a genuine empathy for customers and coworkers and a willingness to help others.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor (bending, crouching, and climbing).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and approachable way.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving history.
- Knowledge of Service Titan preferred.
Typical work week is Monday to Friday.
