** Irrigation Crew Lead
**** Position Summary
** The Irrigation Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing and participating in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial irrigation systems. This position leads a crew in daily operations, ensures quality workmanship, maintains safety standards, and promotes efficiency and productivity on all job sites.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Supervise and lead irrigation crew members on daily job assignments
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, and pumps
* Read and interpret irrigation plans and blueprints
* Ensure proper system programming and water management practices
* Perform seasonal services such as system start-ups, winterizations, and inspections
* Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures
* Monitor job progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
* Maintain accurate job records, material usage, and daily reports
* Communicate effectively with management, clients, and team members
* Enforce company safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE
* Operate company vehicles, trailers, and equipment safely
** Qualifications
* ** 3+ years of irrigation installation and repair experience
* Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred
* Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques
* Ability to read blueprints and irrigation layouts
* Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
* Ability to operate trenchers, pipe pullers, and other equipment
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
** Physical Requirements
*** Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and digging
* Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
* Ability to lift and carry irrigation materials and equipment
** Work Schedule
*** Full-time position
* Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak season
