Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Ventura, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys working with numbers, supporting daily financial operations, and contributing to an organized, accurate accounting function.

The Accounting Specialist will support a variety of accounting tasks for a Ventura County organization, helping maintain accurate records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and assist with general accounting activities. • Support day-to-day accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliations, and transaction processing.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and payment-related activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and filing systems.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Support month-end close activities, reporting, and general ledger maintenance.
• Communicate with internal teams, vendors, or customers to gather information and ensure accounting accuracy.
