Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Ventura, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys working with numbers, supporting daily financial operations, and contributing to an organized, accurate accounting function.
The Accounting Specialist will support a variety of accounting tasks for a Ventura County organization, helping maintain accurate records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and assist with general accounting activities. This opportunity offers the potential for long-term career growth in a professional environment with supportive leadership, collaborative teamwork, and the chance to build stability through a temp-to-hire path.
Key Responsibilities- Support day-to-day accounting functions, including data entry, account reconciliations, and transaction processing.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and payment-related activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and filing systems.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Support month-end close activities, reporting, and general ledger maintenance.
- Communicate with internal teams, vendors, or customers to gather information and ensure accounting accuracy.
- Temp-to-hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $22 to $30 per hour.
