Sr. Project Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Ventura, CA, supporting commercial construction projects from early preconstruction through guaranteed maximum price development. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented estimating professional with strong commercial construction experience, public works familiarity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, Project Managers, and Superintendents.

The Project Estimator will play a key role in evaluating plans and specifications, preparing accurate budgets and estimates, identifying project risks, and supporting successful project planning and execution. • Manage estimating and preconstruction efforts for public and private commercial construction projects, from conceptual budgeting through GMP development.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for constructability, completeness, risk exposure, planning, and scheduling considerations.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, obtain third-party and subcontractor pricing, and prepare accurate, competitive project estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Executives, owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and governmental agencies throughout the preconstruction process.
• Support bid reviews, buyout, contract administration, change order evaluation, and project documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Organize project estimating plans, assign resources, review team deliverables, and help maintain estimating standards, deadlines, and document control.
