Estimator, Construction, Civil Engineering

Our client is seeking a Construction Estimator.

• 5+ years in Commercial Construction Estimating
• BS degree in Construction Management or relevant field preferred
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office
• Experience with construction estimating software
• Familiarity with Public Works and DSA projects
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively
• Experience collaborating with Owners, A/E, and Subcontractors

• Management of public and private preconstruction contracts
• Interface with owners, architects, engineers, city and other governmental agencies and consultants on developing construction projects
• Review plans and specifications for constructability, planning and scheduling
• Work with Project Managers and Superintendents to check bids for completeness and compliance with the construction plans and specifications
• Organize and execute project game plan and revise appropriately to meet changing needs and requirements with Project Executive
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
• Perform detailed quantity take offs and procure necessary third party pricing
• Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to clients
• Collaborate in buyout and contract administration
• Effectively apply methodology and enforce project standards
• Identify potential risk exposure on project drawings and contracts
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored correctly
