Superintendent

An established full service general contracting firm with over 40 years in business is seeking a Superintendent with 5-10+ years of experience to oversee projects spanning from Ventura to Santa Barbara. These projects include tenant improvement commercial (private schools) and ground-up high end residential homes.

Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of experience supervising high-end residential construction and commercial projects
• Experience with tenant improvement and ground up projects
• Strong understanding of all construction phases, from grading to interior finishes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet
• Experience managing RFIs, daily reports, submittals, and other construction-related documentation
• OSHA certification, first aid, and CPR training are beneficial but not required (training provided)
• Must reside in near Ventura or Santa Barbara Counties and be willing to travel to job sites

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and evaluate subcontractors, addressing performance issues promptly
• Maintain and update project schedules using Smartsheet or similar software
• Monitor project expenditures, identify variances, implement corrective actions, and manage RFIs to stay within budget
• Enforce safety standards, coordinate with staff and subcontractors, resolve issues, and assist with change orders to achieve project goals
• Maintain a safe work environment by following legal regulations, conducting weekly safety meetings, and enforcing safety protocols
• Stay updated on emerging construction practices and standards to continuously improve job performance
