Established 40+ years premier full-service general contractor seeking construction project manager for commercial and high-end residential construction near Santa Barbara or Ventura, CA.
A licensed California-based general contracting company with over 40+ years in business is seeking a construction project manager with 5+ years of experience to lead projects from pre-construction through close-out across Ventura to Santa Barbara, CA. This project manager will oversee a mix of ground-up high-end residential homes and commercial construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, client satisfaction, and on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications:
bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in construction, with a focus on ground-up, high-end residential and commercial projects. Strong working knowledge of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and cost forecasting. Proficiency in construction management software, with Procore preferred, and experience using Smartsheet. Skilled in reviewing plans and specifications for constructability and sequencing.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a client-focused, professional demeanor. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously. Track record of mentoring and supporting project team members in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities: manage projects through all phases, including pre-construction, construction, and close-out. Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts to keep projects on track financially. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align project execution with design intent and client expectations. Navigate permitting and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor buy-out. Prepare scopes of work and review contracts and subcontracts for accuracy and completeness.
Analyze plans and specifications for constructability and sequencing opportunities. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, logs, daily reports, submittals, and change orders. Monitor jobsite progress, safety compliance, and superintendent performance. Lead project meetings and provide consistent updates to clients and internal team members. Make sound decisions under pressure to resolve complex project challenges as they arise.
