The AVID Tutor provides support and tutoring to AVID students either at the middle school or high school level.
This position requires background check and TB risk assessment. Please contact Classified Human Resources once your application is submitted. ext. 1170
Eligibility Requirements:
- Possession of a high school diploma or a GED
- Complete at least 48 semester units of study at an institution of higher education (college level)
- Or obtained an associate's (or higher) degree
- Or met (passed) an assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness
In addition to the above standards, applicants must demonstrate competence in higher level math skills required in a high school program and the ability to use computers, software, and other technology tools and resources relevant to providing academic support to high school youth.
