Job SummaryAdult Education Attendance Technician for Balboa Middle School. 8 hours per day, 215 days per year. Bilingual Spanish required. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, responsible for accurate attendance record‑keeping, operating assigned software, and serving as liaison on attendance policies.
Responsibilities- Accurately record and maintain attendance information.
- Use computer systems and assigned software to enter and update attendance data.
- Serve as liaison between students, parents, staff, and outside agencies regarding district attendance policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of clerical experience in an educational environment or closely related setting.
- Experience with school‑district attendance policies and procedures is highly desirable.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Applicants will be required to complete a performance assessment and a bilingual examination as part of the selection process.
Salary InformationNew hires receive initial placement based on education and experience, with potential advancement to Step 5 of the salary schedule and longevity increments at specified years of service.
