Salary: Part‑time faculty with classroom assignments are paid between $2,678 and $3,742 per semester per 10% load. Salary is based on educational achievement and experience.
OverviewWe are accepting applications for part‑time instructors to teach Family Law courses at Oxnard College. Applicants will remain on file for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 and may be considered if a vacancy arises during the academic year. Candidates with background in Family Law, Procedure, Legal Research, and Writing are highly desired.
Responsibilities- Provide academic instruction through lecture, lab, or performance courses; assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher‑order thinking skills through assignments and activities in classroom and online settings.
- Advise students on programs of study, alternative institutions, learning resources, and study skills; refer students to support services and professionals.
- Observe and evaluate student performance against course objectives and outcomes; provide timely feedback via class, online, or office hours.
- Plan and organize instruction according to approved course outlines and student learning outcomes to maximize learning aligned with department and district goals.
- Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, academic progress, curriculum, and learning outcomes; prepare and submit related reports.
- Evaluate, select, and order instructional materials in collaboration with discipline faculty following campus procedures.
- Revise and update course content and materials in accordance with new theories and industry developments.
- Update syllabi; collaborate with faculty to assess and revise measurable student performance indicators.
- Participate in curriculum and program development, committee work, articulation and matriculation activities, and related duties as assigned.
For law discipline:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.)
