The Global Sustainment (GS) team at Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) in Ventura, CA, is seeking an Engineering Aid to support the MK 41 Logistics Support Facility. In this role you will work alongside experienced electrical engineers to assist with failure analysis, troubleshooting, repair, and retesting of VMS components, helping return hardware to Code A status for the U.S. Navy and partner navies.
You will also be responsible for the site's configuration management to ensure all processes and procedures conform to the latest revisions. Tasks also include working closely with property management and meteorology to ensure all tools on the floor are tagged, calibrated, and in working order, removing and replacing when necessary, following the Standard Operating Procedure.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in the investigation of LM and USN inquiries and repairs related to VLS system repairs, subsystems, and components including pulling and analyzing data and drawings, performing repairs, conducting testing, configuration management verification, and preparing results to present to the customer.
• Providing routine support to the engineering team for LM and USN program offices through Teams and in-person meetings, daily tag-ups and priority listings to ensure program requirements are met.
• Helping maintain test equipment and assisting in property inventory and metrology events such as the annual in-house calibration and inventory events by recording data, updating locations and assisting with the logistics of each event.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of electrical engineering solutions that improve sustainment processes through Standard Operating Procedure review and updates, initiating Process Review Boards and implementing change once reviewed and approved.
• Collaborating with cross functional teams to apply standard processes and tools, ensuring consistent and efficient support for the GS mission.
