Stryker is seeking a Design Engineer for our Customized Implants division in Ventura, California. Here, we specialize in designing custom temporomandibular joint (TMJ) implants that restore jaw function and transform lives. As a Design Engineer, you will gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment, working closely with experienced designers and clinical specialists to create patient‑specific solutions.
What You Will Do- Design patient‑specific TMJ implants in accordance with established engineering procedures and surgeon preference listings
- Evaluate CT scans and anatomical models for image quality, reference geometry, and suitability for design
- Create 3D implant designs using CAD software based on surgeon input and patient‑specific anatomy
- Prepare design review packages, manufacturing drawings, and surgeon approval schematics
- Partner with surgeons and field teams to incorporate patient‑specific requirements into final designs
- Coordinate with manufacturing and customer service teams to support design transfer and production readiness
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and clinical partners regarding design progress and updates
- Maintain accurate design documentation and meet defined turnaround timelines for each case
- Bachelor's degree in engineering;
Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred. - Minimum 0 years of experience in engineering, design, or related technical discipline
- Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills
- Internship experience in engineering, product design, or medical device manufacturing environments
- Basic understanding of human anatomy
- Interest in medical device design and patient‑specific solutions
- CAD software experience, preferably Solid Works
US10: $76,500 - $122,000 USD Annual
