About This Opportunity

Anchor Innovation is accepting applications for future Maritime Operations Specialists supporting waterfront operations, small craft activities, and emerging autonomous maritime programs in Ventura and Port Hueneme, California.

This position is expected to begin as a temporary full-time assignment supporting current customer requirements. As business needs evolve, successful candidates may be considered for longer-term employment opportunities.

Successful candidates will support operational testing, waterfront logistics, launch and recovery operations, vessel support, and day-to-day maritime activities alongside experienced operators supporting U.S. Navy and commercial maritime programs.

This is an operational position. Candidates should expect to spend the majority of their time supporting waterfront activities, working aboard small craft, and operating in dynamic maritime environments rather than in a traditional office setting.

Compensation

$70,000 - $95,000 annually
, depending on qualifications and experience.

Initial employment is expected to be temporary in support of current customer requirements.

Requirements

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to work extended operational days as mission requirements dictate
  • Ability to safely work aboard small craft and around the waterfront
  • Ability to lift and move equipment associated with maritime operations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior U.S. Military service
  • Unmanned Surface Vessel Squadron (USVRON)
  • Maritime Expeditionary Security Force (MESF)
  • Maritime Security Squadron (MSRON)
  • Riverine Squadron (RIVRON)
  • Coastal Riverine Force (CRF)
  • Naval Special Warfare Maritime support experience
  • U.S. Coast Guard boat operations experience
  • Commercial maritime experience
  • Small craft operations
  • Trailering experience
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Experience supporting maritime operations or waterfront activities
  • USCG Captain's License (Not Required)
Training

Selected candidates should expect to complete an initial onboarding and qualification period in San Diego supporting experienced Anchor personnel.

Training may include:

  • Waterfront operations
  • Customer procedures
  • Vessel familiarization
  • Operational safety
  • Launch & recovery procedures
  • Mission planning
  • Equipment handling

Successful completion of the training and evaluation period may lead to additional responsibilities and longer-term employment opportunities as business requirements expand.
