Compensation

Salary Range: $60.83 - $93.56 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Manager of Nursing Resources, the RN Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for prioritizing and optimizing patient flow activities throughout the hospital system, and to facilitate the patients’ entry into CMH from other health care facilities during assigned shift hours. The RN Patient Flow Coordinator will assess to determine appropriate placement of all admissions (elective and emergent) as well as transfers in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines, ensuring patients receive a clinically appropriate level of care using established algorithms and protocols.

To facilitate the smooth entry of patients into the care continuum, ensures all necessary documents are obtained. While working with campus Nursing Supervisors, physicians and nursing staff will monitor bed/patient care capacity using both a concurrent and prospective view. Responsible for facilitating continuous throughput of patients from all points of entry while utilizing effective verbal and written communication; must be able to make efficient, effective clinical decisions in the coordination of throughput activities, while adhering to patient centered care principles.

Required:

• Current CA Registered Nurse License
• Three (3) years' acute inpatient nursing experience with progressive supervisor experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Critical Care or Emergency Department nursing experience;
  Case Management experience helpful
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
