Overview

Paychex is reimagining how businesses manage their workforce by combining payroll, HR, benefits, and advisory services into a single HCM platform. As the Sales Representative, you will sell Paychex solutions and support within the existing client base and to new prospects, helping small business owners succeed while expanding Paychex’s market presence.

Responsibilities
  • Self-generate leads and prospect existing clients via phone and email to schedule quality meetings daily.
  • Review client data using Paychex sales tools to prepare for discovery meetings, uncover client needs, and propose Paychex solutions, referring to partners as needed.
  • Create proposals from meeting insights, follow up with clients to discuss solutions and pricing, and secure their decision.
  • Meet with clients to review agreements, negotiate as necessary, and close sales.
  • Project a professional image when engaging with clients and the community.
  • Attend weekly 1:1 meetings with manager to review performance, sales calls, and coaching strategies.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to review strategies, results, best practices, and opportunities to achieve quotas.
  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners to review sold accounts, schedule hand‑off meetings, and plan HR assessments.
  • Attend partner meetings to educate partners on HCM solutions, services, and processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of sales paperwork, expense reports, and activity reports per deadlines.
  • Continuously sharpen sales skills and knowledge to meet sales targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of inside or outside business‑to‑business sales experience.
  • Experience in Digital Media, Health Insurance, HR Services, Retail, Hospitality, Recruitment, Financial Services, Insurance, Marketing, Automotive, Information Technology, or Professional Services.
  • Intermediate level in Accountability, Adaptability, Closing (Sales), Goal‑Oriented, Relationship Building, Sales, Sales Presentations, Sales Prospecting, Self‑Discipline, and Self‑Motivation.
Compensation

Pay range: $55,000 – $145,000 (base + commissions). Total compensation may vary based on location, skills, education, and experience.
