Event Security Guard - Ventura

Archon Protection is looking to immediately hire Part‑Time Security Event Guards in the Ventura County Area.

$20 per hour to $25 per hour

• Make a positive impact by maintaining a visible and professional presence.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure the safety of everyone present.
• Monitor access points and remain vigilant to any suspicious parties or situations.
• Collaborate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to coordinate security efforts and resolve any issues that arise.
• Report any security‑related occurrences or incidents to the appropriate supervisor, law enforcement, or medical personnel.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high standard of professionalism and security effectiveness.
• Enforce community or facility rules and regulations per client request.
• Secure site amenity areas.
• Take accurate and thorough notes of any unusual occurrences.
• Protect the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

Extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor.

• Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8).
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).  to inquire about obtaining your Guard Card and Live Scan fingerprints.
• Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (BPC Sections 7581 and 7583.9).
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
