Construction Laborer

This temporary construction labor role supports a fast-paced project at a modular/mobile unit yard, focusing on general construction tasks, installation work, and material handling. You will use hand and power tools, assist with framing and carpentry-related activities, and help prepare and maintain units for commercial use. This position starts early in the morning, requires consistent reliability, and offers the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity based on performance and project needs.

• Perform general construction labor tasks, including site cleanup, material handling, and basic installation work.
• Assist with framing, rough carpentry, and related construction activities as directed by supervisors.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
• Support carpet installation and other interior preparation work as needed.
• Assist with basic mechanical and installation activities related to commercial construction and modular units.
• Follow instructions from lead workers and supervisors to complete daily work orders on time.
• Read and follow basic directions, drawings, or simple blueprints when required for tasks.
• Handle heavy lifting and physically demanding work throughout the shift in a construction environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with site safety standards.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including steel toe boots provided by the worker and additional PPE provided on site.
• Identify and report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or incidents to site leadership promptly.
• Work collaboratively with other crew members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
• Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as project needs evolve during the assignment.

• Proven ability to perform general labor tasks in a construction or similar hands-on environment.
• Experience with construction labor, including basic framing, rough carpentry, or related tasks.
• Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work for the duration of the shift.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, equipment, and installation tasks.
• Familiarity with commercial construction or installation environments.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and consistently wear required PPE.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for an early morning start time.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

• Carpet installation experience in commercial or construction settings.
• Exposure to HVAC, electrical, or other building systems in a construction environment.
• Experience reading or working from basic blueprints or drawings.
• Prior work on rough carpentry, framing, or similar trades.
• Previous experience on temporary or project-based construction assignments.
• Strong work ethic and professional representation of the staffing firm and end client.
