DUAL CERTIFICATION OPPORTUNITY
Associate - Marriage and Family Therapist / Professional Clinical Counselor / Clinical Social Worker
To fill a current vacancy, 8 hours per day, 215 days per year in the Special Education Department/Itinerant and to establish an eligibility list to fill future vacancies. The established eligibility list will remain in effect for six (6) months.

Under the direction of a designated Certificated Administrator and Clinical Supervisor, provides direct mental health services to students (individuals and groups) with intensive needs, parent counseling, consultation, and treatment coordination to students and families to improve school performance. Assists with coordinating services by providing training, education, and program development to address and implement tiered interventions through a Multi‑Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework.
This position is expected to carry a caseload of students and collaborate with all stakeholders in building a coherent system of coordinated support within an MTSS framework. Serves as a liaison between counselors, students, families, school sites, support staff, and various community services agencies, with a primary focus on the mental health and wellness of students, supporting social‑emotional goals, and educational access.
AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education, training and experience sufficient to meet the California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements for any of the following:
Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), which includes a minimum of a Master's degree in the designated field of study.
- Valid California driver's license.
- A current, valid associate number from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Clinical Counselor. Incumbents are required to maintain a valid associate status as a condition of continued employment.
- Some positions may be required to translate oral and written communications between English and a designated second language.
Step 1:
Application Screening (pass/fail). Applications will be screened for minimum qualifications.
Step 2:
Qualification Appraisal Interview (weighted 100%). Tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026.
New hires may be provided with advanced step placement up to Step 5 based on additional qualifying experience or education, with longevity increments offered based on years of service.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (Upon Offer of Employment)- Employment Verification:

- The District reserves the right to require a job related physical examination and satisfactory results from such an exam.
- Fingerprinting:
State law requires that all employees be fingerprinted. AB1610 prohibits employment until the Department of Justice completes its obligations regarding the arrest and conviction information, and from employing a person who has been convicted of a violent or serious felony, as defined. - All candidates with a conviction record for offenses other than minor traffic violations, must file a conviction record statement with their application. Such a conviction, or failure to report a record of convictions, may bar you from employment.
- Other: Eligible individuals will be required to provide a current DMV report and/or proof of auto insurance to the Classified Human Resources Department before being certified for a final selection interview for positions that require the employee to drive a district vehicle and/or hold a valid California driver's license.
