Shipping​/Receiving Associate

Job Overview

Spherion is recruiting on behalf of one of Vermont's top employers for Shipping/Receiving Associates to work on a contract-to-hire basis in Vergennes. The role offers a large, supportive team and room for growth.

• Package products for shipment according to company standards, carrier requirements, and government/military packaging specifications.
• Verify shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export paperwork.
• Ensure part number and serial number on product matches shipping labels.
• Unload inbound shipments from trucks using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• Ability to lift and move packages.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment.

No Degree Required.

1‑4 years.

• Experience processing domestic and international shipments using SAP or similar ERP and carrier systems (Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, freight forwarders).
• Hazmat/Dangerous Goods certification.
• Experience with AESDirect/ACE filings.
• Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, or medical).
• Familiarity with export controls (ITAR/EAR), government shipping requirements, and compliance procedures.
