The University of South Dakota School of Law invites applications for a Senior Secretary. This 12‑month, Civil Service, regular position is eligible for state benefits.
The Senior Secretary will provide administrative support to law school faculty and staff, manage schedules, prepare documents, and interact frequently with students, alumni and professionals in the legal community. The role requires a high level of professionalism, cooperation, and strong communication skills.
Posting Details- Salary: $19.27 - $19.66 per hour (based on experience) plus benefits

- Knowledge of modern office practices
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Ability to use general office equipment
- Effective oral and written communication
- Document review and proofreading for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse people
- Strict confidentiality maintenance
- Interpersonal and organizational skills suitable for supporting faculty and students
- Familiarity with internet, database, and legal research and writing
