Assistant Professor QE

Responsibilities

• Develop an innovative, independent, translational research program likely to attract significant extramural funding.
• Secure and manage extramural research funding.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, with a required focus on Systems Physiology.
• Mentor graduate, health sciences, and medical students.
• Collaborate with faculty within the Division of Biomedical and Translational Sciences and across departments.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and institutional service as required.

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or closely related, or M.D. with a minimum of two years postdoctoral experience.
• Demonstrated potential for independent research with a record of publications.
• Strong teaching experience and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.

Tenure‑track appointment at the Assistant Professor level for an initial period of 11 months, with potential for renewal and progression.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and accompanied by a state benefits package. Start‑up funds and state‑of‑the‑art research facilities will be provided.
