The Nursing Department of the University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications for a 9‑month full‑time nursing faculty position for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Vermillion campus.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver high‑quality classroom and clinical instruction; guide students in developing clinical judgment; contribute to curriculum design and evaluation.
Preferred Candidate ProfileStrong clinical expertise in medical‑surgical nursing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently. Commitment to student success and fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications- Current, unencumbered RN license and eligibility for licensure in South Dakota.
- Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program prior to starting the position.
- Experience in medical‑surgical nursing.
- Experience teaching in a baccalaureate program.
- Strong nursing background with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work with technology.
