Postdoctoral Research Scientist--Chemistry
The Wang laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at the University of South Dakota is currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher interested in working in the fields of nanoporous materials and their applications in heating, cooling, chemical separation, carbon capture, and other related areas. The research involves design, synthesis and characterization of nanoporous materials such as metal-organic frameworks and metal-organic super containers and gas/vapor adsorption analysis of these materials.
This is a grant funded position supported by an NSF ERC grant and an ACS PRF grant. The minimum qualification:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related fields. The ideal candidate for this position should be highly motivated, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, and independent thinking and problem solving skills. Candidates with strong training records in the fields of porous materials, synthetic organic/inorganic chemistry, gas adsorption, chemical separation, and/or X-ray crystallography will be given prioritized consideration.
