RoleThe Accounting Supervisor will play a key role within the Accounting team, leading the day‑to‑day Accounts Receivable function while supporting broader accounting and financial operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash collection processes, and strong internal controls, while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams across the organization. The role also supports general ledger activities, intercompany reconciliations, foreign currency translations, and month‑end close processes, offering a dynamic opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional to contribute to operational and financial success.
Howyou’ll make an impact
- Lead monthly and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and IFRS financial reporting.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable operations, collections, and cash application processes.
- Supervise and support the AR team, including workload management, training, and performance monitoring.
- Manage factoring processes, including receivable submissions, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Sales, and Customer Service teams.
- Support capital investment tracking, lease accounting (IFRS 16), depreciation, and capital budget activities.
- Prepare tax‑related work papers, sales and use tax filings, and support insurance renewals and documentation.
- Identify process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and troubleshoot ERP and financial system issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; 2 years of leadership experience.
- Strong general ledger accounting knowledge and willingness to get into the details to troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to strategically manage and drive positive change within the organization.
- The ability to summarize data logically and communicate information and recommendations clearly to all appropriate contacts.
- Team player, experience in building effective cross‑functional relationships with business partners; experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP. Onsite presence required.
