The Sr. Tax Manager is a key leader who elevates the quality, efficiency, and sophistication of our tax practice by overseeing the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful tax compliance and advisory services.
This role blends deep technical tax expertise with strong leadership, project management, and client‑service acumen. The Sr. Tax Manager plays a pivotal role in guiding staff, reviewing complex individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary returns, and ensuring that engagements are executed with precision and efficiency. The Tax Manager partners closely with office leaders and team members to drive revenue and strengthen client relationships by providing high‑value planning, proactive communication, and strategic tax insights.
The Tax Manager is a subject‑matter expert who understands how a high‑performing tax department should operate, leveraging strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and effective processes to support the firm’s broader goals.
Responsibilities- Review U.S. and multi‑state income tax returns for business entities, including C‑corporations, S‑corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary returns.
- Review U.S. and state individual income and gift tax returns.
- Prepare tax projections for individual and corporate clients.
- Conduct tax research as needed.
- Communicate with existing clients and colleagues regarding various tax matters.
- Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by clients.
- 7 or more years of relevant tax experience preferred.
- CPA or EA preferred.
- Ability to work well independently and with a team.
- Advanced computer skills on Microsoft platforms. Ultra Tax tax software and Practice CS are used but not required.
- Proficient with Quick Books and trial balance software.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple client projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Desire to expand current knowledge base.
