Job Description

The Kingdom East District Office seeks an upbeat, energetic, and technologically savvy team player to support the Finance Department in a fast‑paced, supportive environment. The role will be based in Lexington Center, Vermont and offers a pay range of $25–$29 per hour.

General Requirements
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Respond to telephone, email, and in‑person requests, inquiries, and questions in a timely, professional, polite, and responsive manner.
  • Demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Payroll Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce payroll on a bi‑weekly basis, including all related reports.
  • Update and maintain all payroll records.
  • Enter new employee information into the School ERP Pro accounting system.
  • Prepare and distribute all W‑2s and ACA forms.
  • Complete employment verification and unemployment requests.
  • Prepare for W/C audit.
  • Maintain payroll files.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities
  • Maintain accounts payable records.
  • Review requisitions for purchase order approval for all school buildings and departments; verify invoices and documentation.
  • Research discrepancies in billing and take action to ensure correction.
  • Monitor discount opportunities; ensure credits are received for credit memos issued by vendors.
  • Assist in preparation of bi‑weekly bill warrants.
  • Review expense codes and process materials for data processing.
  • Process payments to appropriate vendors.
  • Ensure exempt entities do not pay sales tax.
  • Track open purchase orders and follow up on outstanding orders.
  • Generate 1099 reports for vendors.
  • Maintain filing system.
  • Purchase orders for professional development; review reimbursements to ensure alignment with travel policy.
  • Maintain online accounts (Amazon, Walmart).
  • Manage outstanding checks; send letters and remit payments to the state when appropriate.
Compensation

Hourly wage: $25–$29.

Job Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
