Job Details:

We're looking for a passionate and dedicated General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position, where you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records and ensuring that our financial data is accurate and compliant. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and will be responsible for managing our general ledger system, preparing financial statements, and conducting year-end close procedures.

• 1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• 2. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• 3. Maintain and balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
• 4. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• 5. Complete internal audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• 6. Contribute to the development of the annual budget and implement it into the general ledger system.
• 7. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key business issues, changes and progress.
• 8. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations and ensure all company financial transactions are conducted and recorded accurately in the accounting system.

• 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
• 3. Proven knowledge and experience of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• 4. High proficiency in financial reporting, including year-end reporting, balance sheet management, and budget preparation.
• 5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• 6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Fresh Books and Quick Books.
• 7. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• 8. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• 9. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex accounting issues.
• 10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 12. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
