Executive Assistant to Instructional Leadership
Essex Westford School District (EWSD) represents a district‑wide full‑time, 12‑month position in Essex Junction, Vermont. The role requires occasional evening, weekend, and overtime work.
Job Description
The successful candidate will provide high‑level administrative, organizational, and project management support to the Executive Directors for Primary and Secondary Education. Responsibilities include supporting district initiatives related to curriculum, special education, equity and inclusion, social‑emotional learning, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide executive‑level administrative support to the Executive Directors for Primary and Secondary Education.
- Manage calendars, meetings, communications, and department operations.
- Coordinate district‑wide projects, professional learning events, and leadership initiatives.
- Develop and maintain communications, presentations, reports, and website content.
- Support compliance and administrative processes related to student services, Title IX, Harassment, Hazing & Bullying (HHB), and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidential records and data systems while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with district leaders and staff to support instructional priorities.
- Utilize technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, organization, and communication.
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant administrative experience.
- Experience providing high‑level administrative support in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, databases, and web‑based applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a commitment to customer service.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Valid Vermont driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in public education or a school district setting.
- Knowledge of educational systems, compliance requirements, and student information systems.
