Job Description
Mettawee Community School seeks a full-time School Administrative Assistant to support school administrators, faculty, and staff in maintaining a safe, effective, and positive learning environment for students. The role performs a full range of clerical, administrative, and front‑office functions and serves as the welcoming first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and community members.
The position requires a welcoming and warm presence and supports the smooth operation of the administrative office and day‑to‑day school operations. The School Administrative Assistant will work at least 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar, with specific start and end times determined by the school principal.
Pay Rate: $18.50 – $20.50 per hour, based on years of experience.

- Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Business or a related discipline (prior experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Prior experience working in an office environment, preferably in a school setting.
- Preferences:
- At least two years of experience is preferred.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude while representing the school community as a member of the front office staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a supportive team leader emphasizing organization, professionalism, courtesy, and flexibility.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assigned work, and manage deadlines.
- Skilled in the use of technology and able to learn multiple systems.
- Strong organization skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization, parents, and students.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and use discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
