KENT® Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies has a great opportunity to join their team as an Office Manager in Richford, VT. This position will perform and lead the administrative and customer service functions performed in the office at the Plant. It is a full-time, hourly position with a complete benefits package and reports to the Plant Manager.
- The compensation range for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 an hour in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead administration of daily operations which include preparing production tags, issuing returns and credits, approve and scan freight bills and vouchers, taking and dispatching orders and month end statements.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
- Maintain clear and open communication with staff, management, and other departments.
- Set performance goals and objectives for the team and regularly review progress.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Address and resolve promptly to minimize disruption.
- Data entry related to daily plant operations.
- Coordinate the procurement of ingredients and bags.
- Work with all departments to facilitate the efficient operation of the plant.
- Act as first point of contact to sign in visitors and vendors and ensure Safety Guidelines are signed and followed.
- Support billing and invoicing of accounts.
- Handle customer service complaints and refer to Quality Control Manager when necessary.
- Receive orders in a friendly, professional, service-minded manner.
- Prepare and/or record paperwork for customer loads, ingredients and supplies.
- Track and record daily dealer pickups and bulk deliveries.
- Report factors that influence the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients to the supervisor.
- Other clerical or administrative duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
Strong computer skills including but not limited to experience with Microsoft office products, especially Word and Excel.
Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Work and cooperate as a team player.
Knowledge of cGMP’s, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan, and FSMA are beneficial.
