Job Summary:
The Events & Sponsorship Supervisor is responsible for planning and executing special events, programming, partner integration and activations at Killington Resort/Pico Mountain.
Summary of
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the overall planning and execution of events or programs
Work with third party organizers, internal departments and events team to create event strategy and drive the planning process
Lead timely communication of event details and ensure awareness across the resort and with 3rd party organizers
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining project management plans in a project management platform (Trello)
Responsible for leading post event evaluations and tracking event and program success
Support operations team (Snow making, Grooming, Terrain Parks, Patrol, etc.) to drive successful execution of deliverables
Work in close partnership with the Conference Sales/Lodging team to coordinate successful execution of tasks as required.
Work with Events & Sponsorship Manager on idea generation and planning for events, programming and sponsor activations.
General policy and safety training – ensure all department staff receive weekly safety training notes; maintain current records for all trainings
Responsible for reviewing and signing off on timecards for department staff
Deliver bi-annual performance reviews to department staff
Attend regular meetings assigned by the Events Manager This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for this job and is not intended to be an inclusive list of all job tasks and expectations
Basic Qualifications:
2-4 years of event experience1-2 years of project management experience
Must be intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as part of regular schedule
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must have valid US driver’s license
Must be able to work outdoors in winter conditions for extended periods of time Knowledge of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain with a passion for year-round outdoor recreation is a plus Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of computer programs and systems such as Microsoft Office 365 Suite Team player that’s dependent, reliable and creates a collaborative work environment
Follows established policies and procedures
Open to sharing and receiving critical feedback
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to think critically while problem solving
Ensures timely follow-up and completes assigned duties
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple groups and projects at the same time Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Able to effectively manage and communicate with staff of all levels
