Summary

As a licensed four‑star childcare center in Essex Junction, we’ve created a true “home away from home” where curiosity is encouraged, relationships matter, and both children and educators are given the space to grow.

Responsibilities

Providing lunch‑break coverage so teachers can recharge.

  • Assisting classroom teachers in meeting children’s daily needs with patience and care.
  • Supporting daily cleaning routines and helping with laundry to maintain a healthy environment.
  • Stepping in to cover staff absences and keep classrooms running seamlessly.
  • Helping organize supplies, restock materials, and maintain an orderly, well‑prepared space.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Meet at least one of the following early childhood education requirements:
  • Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate, or
  • Current Child Development Associate (CDA) plus at least 12 months of experience working with children in grade 3 or younger, or
  • State Board of Education–approved Human Services Program Certificate with a focus on child development or early childhood education plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger, or
  • Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont After school Essentials Certificate plus at least 12 months of experience with children in grade 3 or younger.
