Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction

Bazin Brothers Trucking is a small, family-owned heavy civil construction company. We self-perform earthwork, utilities, excavation, paving, and trucking — and we take pride in doing it right.

We’re looking for a Senior Estimator with true heavy civil experience who wants real ownership and meaningful projects — without corporate bureaucracy or unnecessary layers.

This is a senior role for someone who understands how projects are actually built and is confident standing behind their numbers. In our company, the person who prices the work often stays involved through execution. That means real accountability — and real impact.

* What You’ll Do
* * Own projects from first plan review through bid submission and beyond

* Prepare complete, production-based estimates for earthwork, utilities, site work, excavation, paving, and trucking

* Review plans and specs for scope gaps, risk, and constructability

* Perform detailed takeoffs and build realistic, field-informed pricing

* Solicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes

* Work directly with ownership on bid strategy and pricing decisions

* Manage DOT and municipal bid requirements and submittals

* Stay involved in awarded projects, helping ensure the work is executed as bid

* What We’re Looking For
* * 10+ years heavy civil estimating experience

* Strong background in site work, utilities, earthwork, and excavation

* Experience with DOT and municipal bid processes

* Familiarity with state submittals and compliance requirements

* Ability to manage work independently from start to finish

* Proficiency in HCSS, Heavy Bid, Bid2

Win, Excel, or similar
