Experiential Print Graphic Designer – Freelance

The T3 Micro Experiential Print Graphic Designer – Freelance is a hands‑on print‑obsessed creative with excellent problem‑solving ability and an acute sense for premium, luxury aesthetic. This senior role will manage a spectrum of high‑tier creative projects that surround T3 retail consumer experience which include core product launch assets, primary and secondary packaging, visual merchandising (both in-store and digital), product training aids for B2B, all to support both consumer and customer/retailer channels.

This position will lead the process of design of visuals / communication and execution of product marketing across a variety of media – print, packaging, point of sale materials, and trade shows. This position serves as a crucial and highly collaborative partner to the T3 brand, sales, and operations project owners throughout the upfront development and execution of core product projects.

This role reports to the Art Director.

The Experiential Print Graphic Designer – Freelance – will be given between 20‑80 hrs a month to help with print and experiential design on an as‑needed and project‑to‑project basis. Must be consistent and detail‑oriented in execution, and effectively and efficiently complete projects with tight, critical deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retail –
  • Create a variety of print assets, including print ads for various retailers, retail training documents, merchandising displays.
  • Create retailer planograms, including assortment sizing, shelf strips, shelf talkers, merchandising posters, displays, and various retailer requests.
  • Design assets and merchandising concepts for retailer use.
  • Develop/manage trade show collateral.
  • Understand basic ADA requirements across retailers, VTT formatting, etc.
  • Design and render branded environments, installations, and spatial experiences for events.
  • Develop environmental designs that balance form, function, and fabrication feasibility.
  • Packaging –
  • Maintain, update, and adapt product packaging files and related collateral such as outer carton, user guides, envelopes, brand cards, stickers, over labels, blister trays, etc. across United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, and Europe.
  • Execute rolling changes across portfolio and/or product category.
  • Design and prep packaged print files for release to print.
  • Manage overlapping product deadlines with multiple assets and competing deliverable dates.
  • Create/update brand style guides for package merchandising.
  • Manage translation requests for product packaging and collateral.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication (graphic design), Exhibit Design or related field, preferred.
  • 2‑5 years of experience as a graphic designer in both in‑house and/or agency environments with an emphasis in retail merchandising, i.e., packaging, in‑store merchandising, and print formats.
  • Experience in beauty or luxury/premium product categories.
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates a strong understanding of product packaging, retail merchandising displays, and various print assets.
  • Exceptional skills with design tools including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other Adobe programs.
  • Proficient in general photo editing and retouching in Photoshop.
  • Ability to create sketches, design layouts and to create renders in Sketch Up, Rhino or equivalent 3D program preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Digital work environment proficient, Zoom, Teams, Slack, Wrike, Canto, Google Drive, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of print production – understanding timelines, creative problem solving, mechanical deliverables, digital and print proofing, vendor management.
  • Detail oriented, quick learner, creative problem solver, project ownership and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, organization, and file management skills; excellent prioritization and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven team environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and product launches simultaneously.
  • Located in PST and MST time zone.
