Summary
The Ticket Seller meets the skiing public, explaining programs and rates associated with day tickets and season passes. Processes and issues the appropriate ticket or pass, upselling whenever possible. Gives general information about goods and services available on and off property, events, etc.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Explains ticket types to customers, sells appropriate group or individual ticket, receives cash or does credit/gift card transactions.
- Explains season pass types to customers, sells appropriate pass, accepting payment and processing pass, including the taking of photo identification.
- Orients guests, explaining where they can get the goods and/or services that they desire, both on and off property.
- Remains current with resort-wide events and services, directing customers to the correct locations with accurate information. May be required to perform registration or make reservations for events.
- Receives and answers telephone calls and is responsible for understanding how to find requested information. Connects with various departments to become familiar with basic information, navigating the Burke website to provide accurate information and general knowledge of all resort amenities including ski/ride services, mountain bike operations, Snow sports, rentals, hotel services, food and beverage hours, etc.
- Troubleshoots various problems that the guest may encounter including the loss of personal belongings or other property, missing persons, etc.
- Responsible for logging and managing the lost and found according to company policy and procedure.
- Is able to understand and utilize the Siriusware tickets software and properly explain the ticket waiver process to the guest.
- During low business periods, may be asked to approach guests of the resort to ensure all needs are being met.
- Prepares cash out at the end of the day, submitting necessary paperwork as backup.
- Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related or unrelated to original position.
